Take the Lead QT are here to help you in the times you just need that extra hand. Whilst our main focus is on group dog walks, we adapt our care to your needs. We have all bases covered from farm animals to domestic pets. Need your plants watering or a delivery brought in whilst we are looking after your pet? No stress, we are here to keep your home ticking over and your pups tail wagging.

  • Here at Take the Lead QT we love to work with you. Our walks cater to the week by week needs of the individual dogs and their humans. After assessing each dog we will trial them with different packs to ensure we find the best adventure buddies for them.

    If your schedule changes regularly, not to worry. We will always aim to accommodate your pup to make sure they have a guaranteed friend to run about with and burn some energy! If they are in need of a slower, on leash walk, for any reason, we are happy to step in and be who your dog requires.

    By working with you we put your mind at rest whilst your are busy, yet keep your dog stimulated and fulfilled, ready for naps on their return home.

  • Heading away on holiday or a work trip and want to keep your pets in their familiar surroundings? Not to worry, we offer house sitting services for all of your animals at home.

    Take the Lead have a wide knowledge of all animals. We can guarantee all tummies will be full and their needs taken care of. From dog walks to feeding the gold fish, cuddles for your bunny rabbit and many species in-between we will step into your role at home and ensure it feels like you never left!

    We adhere to all house rules and will leave your home spotless for a welcome return home from your travels.

  • Have a dog that is in need of some company at home? We can pop in throughout the day to play, cuddle, teach tricks or just relax. May this be a puppy, injured or nervous dog we will be their best friend.

    Still want your dog to stretch their legs? Small strolls around the block for toilet breaks can fit into the schedule.

    We can also provide daytime feeds and administer medication if required.

  • On our group walks we walk no more than 6 dogs at a time to ensure our attention is spread equally around the pack. We like to mix up our walks around Queenstown to get the best adventures possible. Come rain or shine we will be out walking but adverse weather will be taken into account for the safety of your dog.

    We know circumstances can change but we would appreciate at least 24 hours cancellation notice if you need to rearrange your dog walk, although we are aware this can not always be the case.
